London Congestion Charge
Do we have to pay the Congestion Charge?
No, although Streetcars are liable for the London Congestion Charge like any other
car, we have decided to absorb the Congestion Charge for our members. You don't
need to worry about the charge on the day either, as Streetcar is a registered fleet
with Transport for London who administer the Congestion Charge, so the charge will
be registered automatically.
Parking Tickets
If a driver gets a parking ticket during their booking, we recommend you take advantage
of the reduced rate offered by most parking authorities by paying the ticket yourself
within 14 days. If we receive notification for parking tickets, clamping fines,
bus lane fines, compound charges, etc. we will pay them and add the cost along with
a processing fee to the business' monthly invoice. You can choose whether to absorb
the cost, or reclaim it from the employee who incurred the fine.
Speeding Fines
The driver is responsible for any speeding tickets received during a booking. If
we receive a ticket, we will pass the driver's details on to the authority that
issued the ticket and they will contact them directly. For this reason, it is important
that each employee uses their own Streetcard.
Using Mobile Phones
Please use a hands free kit for phone calls during driving. Drivers can also receive
calls on the car's phone system. Please contact Streetcar on 0845 644 8475 if you
would like to know a car's phone number.
Smoking
Are we allowed to smoke in the cars?
No. Out of consideration for subsequent users, we don't allow this. If you or a
passenger do smoke in the car, a £25 fine will be added to the monthly invoice.
Pets
Can we carry animals in the car?
No. At Streetcar we all love animals like anyone else, but because they can make
the cars dirty for the next user, we do not allow animals of any sort in the cars.

Breakdowns
What do we do if the car breaks down?
Report it to us as soon as possible and contact the Volkswagen Breakdown Service
from the number on the back of the tax disc. There will be no charge for this.
Will we still be able to get where we're going if the car breaks down?
We will always do anything we can to get you to your destination.
Can we jump-start the car?
No. You may not jump-start a Streetcar or use it to jump-start another car. The
sensitive electronics in the car might not like it.
Car Accessories
Can we choose between manual and automatic?
Yes, but only when booking over the phone.
Can we attach a roof rack or bike rack?
Yes, we allow this, but ask that you consult us before attaching one of these so
we can ensure yours is compatible with the car.
